Description
Fosfomycin is a strong bactericidal antibacterial. It belongs to the Phosphonic Acid Antibacterial. Fosfomycin is active against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria including Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococci, Enterobacteriaceas, Haemophilus influenzae, Neiseria, Pseudomonas aeruginosa etc. The combination with Tylosin enhances its effectiveness in treating CRD, E.coli, Salmonella, Fowl Typhoid, Fowl Cholera, Coryza, Staphylococcal and Streptococcal infections. The addition of Citric acid and vitamin C will enhance the solubilisation of Fosfomycin calcium.
Fosvet 250 Premix is a free flowing slight yellowish to yellowish powder which is odourless.
Fosvet 250 Premix is only slightly soluble in water forming a yellow cloudy solution in a 1% w/v solution. Fosvet 250 has a pH range of 7.0 to 9.0 in a 1% w/v solution. Fosvet 250 Premix contains 25.0% w/w of Fosfomycin. Fosvet 250 Premix contains no less than 90.0% and no more than 110.0% of the label stated amount of Fosfomycin. Fosvet 250 Premix should be stored in an airtight container and protected from moisture and light.
